Safety Standards
IHSolve provides no official certification to any standard. All IHSolve solvent recycling systems are designed to meet the following standards.
ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code
The ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code establishes requirements for the design, fabrication, inspection, testing, and safe operation of pressure vessels. IHSolve pressure vessels are built to meet applicable Code requirements, supporting reliable performance and recognized safety practices.
NEC Class 1 Division 2
NEC Class I, Division 2 requirements apply to locations where flammable gases or vapors are not normally present in hazardous concentrations but could occur under abnormal conditions. IHSolve systems use appropriately rated electrical components and installation practices to support safe operation in these classified areas.
NFPA30
NFPA 30 provides safeguards for the storage, handling, processing, and use of flammable and combustible liquids. IHSolve systems incorporate appropriate containment, transfer, and fire-risk controls to support safe solvent-recovery operations and compliance with applicable requirements.
UL142
UL 142 establishes construction and performance requirements for shop-fabricated steel aboveground tanks used to store flammable and combustible liquids. Tanks built to the applicable requirements are inspected and tested for leakage before shipment, supporting safe containment and recognized code compliance.
UL 60947 and UL 508
UL 508 establishes safety and performance requirements for industrial control devices used to start, stop, regulate, control, or protect electric motors and related equipment. Using components evaluated to applicable UL 508 requirements supports dependable control-system operation and recognized electrical-safety practices. UL 508 is being replaced by UL 60647. IHSolve can work with you to obtain UL 508 / UL 60947 Certification.
